Small but active, the community of Vellexon-Queutrey-et-Vaudey is counting on international volunteers to transform its territory! The inhabitants of this village in Haute-Saône are looking forward to welcoming their second international workcamp. It corresponds to the UN mission of “sustainable cities and communities” and its goals. This includes discovering new and different ways of thinking and acting, sharing skills, investing oneself to develop an area and taking part in the collective life: there will be many possibilities to promote solidarity! Each workcamp offers unique experiences, so come to Vellexon and make your own!
Description of work:
The community of Vellexon would like to establish a space for social connections in the heart of their town. To make it possible, this year we're continuing with the creation of a place that should soon host exchanges focused on solidarity and intergenerational links. To contribute to this development, you will be renovating the paving (floor) of the wash-house which is located next to this square for around 6 hours per day. You will learn techniques of traditional masonry (wall-building). There is no knowledge required! You will evolve as a team with the help of two leaders, sharing all tasks associated with collective life such as, cooking, cleaning, after work activities, etc.
Description of location and leisure:
The community of Vellexon-Queutrey-et-Vaudey (70130) is situated at 25km from Gray(70100), 30km from Vesoul (70000) and 50km from Besançon (25000) in the region “Haute-Saône”.
May it be during the afternoons or the weekends, it will be your group that initiates and organizes the activities for the free time. The ideal programme will take into account the wishes of everybody, the local possibilities (hikes, local artists, summer concerts, “châteaux”, etc) and the financial side of things.
You can also rely on the support of the villagers to organize moments of exchange, and they will be delighted to share with you and to give advice on how to best discover the local environment and enjoy your stay.

Meeting Point and Time: A meeting point and time will be organized to make the arrival easier, which is in general at the end of the afternoon between 16 and 18 o'clock. The departure on the last day will be around 10 o'clock.
Description of accommodation and food:
The commune will provide two areas especially for your group: the first will be dedicated to sleeping, with communal rooms for three or four people mixed-gender, with mattresses provided by the local population. Please bring your own covers, pillows or sleeping bags. The second space is a multi-purpose room with a kitchen, ideal for meals and socializing. Showers and laundry will be done in the homes of the locals. The worksite is only three minutes away by foot and for other trips like going shopping or visiting the surroundings, the locals will be gladly willing to help out.
Accompanied by the camp leaders, you will make the menu and prepare the meals each day, in turn. The budget is approx. 5€ per day and person. There will be the possibility to eat vegetarian or vegan and plan accordingly, if necessary. Often you will share meals with the villagers giving you the opportunity to discover the local gastronomy and to share special moments together.

Description of the partner organizing/hosting the project:
Saint-Genis-de-Saintonge is a commune in south-west France, in the Cognac region, in the heart of the Charente countryside, close to the Lande forest and a short distance from the banks of the Gironde estuary. This commune is a long-standing partner of the association, with whom we carried out the first workcamps in the Charente-Maritime region in 1996. After a ten-year hiatus in projects in the area, in 2019 the municipality wanted to rekindle the intercultural momentum generated by the work camps, and in particular to use them to renovate the cemetery walls last year.
Description of work:
The aim of this project is to rebuild the perimeter wall of the former priory, located behind the school and alongside the stream. The work will involve restoring and consolidating this structure to ensure its solidity, while ensuring that it blends harmoniously into the surrounding landscape. As well as helping to preserve the local heritage, the project will give volunteers an opportunity to learn traditional masonry techniques, such as cutting and assembling stones, repointing and laying mortar.
You don't need any qualifications to take part, just your enthusiasm and desire to learn. You will be supervised by experienced professionals who will guide you through the various stages of the work. Don't forget to bring suitable, comfortable, and hard-wearing clothing, as there is a risk that your clothes will be damaged or soiled. All the necessary safety equipment will be provided.
Description of location and leisure:
The aim will be to share your cultural wealth with the residents and associations of Saint-Genis-De-Saintonge. Visits to the region will be organised collectively according to your wishes (visits, ocean, museums, etc.). You can discover local towns such as St Emilion, Bordeaux, La Rochelle, etc. Leisure activities and local events will give you the chance to meet the locals!

Meeting Point and Time: The meeting point is Jonzac station, on Tuesday 8 July, between 3p.m and 5p.m. The organisers will provide a shuttle service between the station and the accommodation. All the information you need to get there will be in the project roadmap.
Description of accommodation and food:
You will sleep in La maison Bibard, a house recently acquired by the municipality. Participants will sleep in 3 areas equipped with mattresses. The house has all amenities (toilets, kitchens, etc.), but showers will be taken at the nearby gym (100m). You must bring your own duvet and pillow. Bicycles are available for use during the project. Food will be provided for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals will be prepared, in turn, by you, especially for lunch and dinner, while respecting environmental values and local resources, as well as everyone's culture (hot and cold dishes as well as vegetarian and vegan dishes will be prepared).

At the heart of an impressive mountain cirque in the French Alps, the hamlet of Vaunières sits on a vast, gently sloping plain. Large stone buildings nestled between meadows and forests... But this village is not like the others! Purchased as a ruin in the 60s by the Les Villages des Jeunes association, the site is now completely renewed, bustling with life thanks to the many events that take place here and the many local and international connections. Vaunières is a place to meet, to work; to enjoy the peace of the mountains, and the dynamism of the area. Today, the site lives and breathes thanks to a team of employees working on the maintenance of the site, volunteers, tourists, hikers, and aficionados. Roll up your sleeves and join us on-site and in our collective life spaces.
Description of work:
You will be working on the preservation of the south facade of the Hôtellerie building, in the hamlet of Vaunières. This stone façade is currently covered with a layer of insulation and a really damaged finish. The first phase of work will therefore involve removing the insulation to reveal the ancient masonry. Next, you will repoint the stones with mortar, and then apply the bonding plaster. A local expert will guide you through the various phases of the project. Some activities involve working on scaffolding. Each day, two members of the group will take turns preparing meals for the team; the menu will be defined in advance. You'll work on-site during the morning, Monday to Friday.
Generally speaking, the work involves masonry, preparing tools and meals, as well as organizing and setting up collective life.

The hamlet of Vaunières is 6km from Saint Julien en Beauchêne village and 23km from the nearby town of Veynes. There's no Wi-Fi, and the connection is weak, but you'll meet people from all over the world!
You will be in an exceptional location to discover the pleasures of hiking in the mountains, wandering near rivers and lakes, enjoying local markets, and festive evenings organized in the surrounding villages (according to the program). Discover this place in the company of a group of international volunteers who will enrich your experience. Here, you will be the protagonist of your stay: you'll organize your own free time and benefit from the support of our staff.

We welcome you to the hamlet of the Vaunières, at an altitude of 1170 meters. You'll be accommodated in dormitories with sanitary facilities, kitchen, and dining facilities at your disposal. Here, we pay close attention to our diet to reduce our environmental impact: we eat locally as much as possible and reduce our meat consumption to twice a week. Daily life is organized collectively: menus (vegetarian, vegan diets, etc.), shopping, activities, and so on. Once or twice for weeks, we organize shopping trips using the vehicles provided on site.

A small valley in the heart of a sublime alpine landscape, the remains of the 12th-century abbey of Clausonne, and a 300 km hiking trail. All this invites you to discover this rural area and its history! Here, for the past 30 years, a local association has been involved in preserving and promoting the site, as well as contributing to the life of Clausonne and writing its present-day history.
Last summer, work began on the construction of a hiker's shelter on the site. As this is a stage on an itinerary of ancient transhumance routes, you'll be contributing to welcoming cyclists and hikers for years to come.
This project is just one of the many initiatives in which international and local volunteers, the people on work integration programs and other professionals have participated over the years.
You'll be staying at the Ferme du Faï, an old mountain farmhouse that's kept alive by a team of employees working on the renovation of the buildings, artists and musicians in artistic residence, hikers passing through and the curious. Roll up your sleeves and join us on-site and in our collective living space!
Description of work:
You'll be working on a timber frame for a hiking shelter, located in the immediate proximity of the Abbey of Clausonne. A local carpenter will guide you in assembling the supporting structure, making the joints and building the floor. Each day, two members of the group will rotate in preparing meals for the team; the menu will be defined in advance. You'll work on-site during the mornings from Monday to Friday.
Generally speaking, the work involves carpentry, preparing tools and meals, as well as organizing and setting up community life.

The Clausonne site is a 20-minute walk from Ferme du Faï. Le Faï is 2 km from the village of Le Saix and 13 km from the town of Veynes. There's no Wi-Fi, so the connection is weak, but you'll meet people from all over the world!
The site is located below the summit of Aujour Mountain, so the view may inspire you to discover the pleasure of the hike in your spare time. Indeed, this wilderness spot is ideal for mountain walking and wandering. You'll have the chance to discover the area in the company of a group of international volunteers, which will enrich your experience. Here, you'll be the protagonist of your stay: you'll organize your free time together with the support of our staff.

Here, we take care with our food to reduce our environmental impact: we eat local as much as possible and reduce our meat consumption to twice a week.
Daily life is organized collectively: menus (vegetarian, vegan diets, etc.), shopping, activities, and so on.

Come experience an exhilarating adventure by participating in a renovation project in the heart of Brittany! The village of Hémonstoir welcomes you for its first international project and needs you to showcase its Saint-Arnoult fountain! You will work on the reassembly of this building, which was previously dismantled to make way for the construction of a library. This will be an opportunity for you to learn traditional masonry techniques, but also to make unforgettable encounters with young people from all over the world and kind-hearted locals who will welcome you with open arms !

Hemonstoir is a small corner of Brittany near the town of Loudéac, in the Côtes d'Armor department. The nearby Guerlédan Lake offers wonderful opportunities for discovery and kayaking.

The journey takes approximately two hours. You will then need to take a TER BreizhGo bus, which will take you to your destination, Loudéac. You will be accommodated in tents (provided by Concordia) at the municipal stadium, which is a 5-minute walk from the worksite! Group life will be organized nearby in a room provided for the group. There, you will share the various group tasks and activities. Together, you will participate in organizing group life (cleaning, activities, etc.) and take turns preparing meals using products you will purchase locally. The activity leaders will have a budget to cover these expenses, but you will be responsible for preparing the menus and doing your own shopping. A vegetarian diet using local and seasonal products will be preferred, while respecting the participants' dietary requirements and allowing you to discover local cuisine.

Help preserve Montferrat's local heritage!
Located in the north-east of the commune of Montferrat, the Pierrepont spring is a place of refreshment for many villagers during the summer. With the aim of restoring the site's hydraulic heritage, an important element in the history and life of the village, you'll be tasked with clearing and demarcating the area to be rebuilt using picks and shovels; resuming the foundations on the sections requiring it; sorting the stones and assembling a hard base; building the low wall leading to the spring.
Take part in the enhancement of this committed and culturally rich commune, while making unforgettable encounters!

Montferrat (commune of approx. 1700 inhabitants) is located in the Var (83) department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
Just 15 km from Draguignan and 5 km from Châteaudouble, the village is nestled among wooded hills, in an unspoilt natural setting. The Pierrepont site is a fifteen-minute walk from the town center.
Your volunteer work will be punctuated by a variety of cultural and natural activities: discovering the region and its specialties, hiking, nature sports, meeting local people... and much more!

Description of the partner organizing/hosting the project:
This project is being carried out in collaboration with the Mairie de Freissinières and the Parc des Ecrins, who, following the restoration project in the Mercantour Park in 2024, have shown an interest in supporting the projects planned for 2025. The commune wishes to restore the Viollins mill, which is part of the commune's rural heritage and could also become a shelter for walkers.
In particular, the commune will be responsible for installing a water tank, purchasing materials and equipment, preparing the site, applying for authorization for the work and storing the materials needed to build the framework.

The Commune would like to restore the Moulin de Viollins, located along the Biaysse torrent and a popular passageway for hikers.
You're invited to take part in the process of giving the mill a new lease of life.
On the program: site clean-up to prepare the work area, removal of collapsed roof elements, removal of deteriorated walls, sorting of stones, deconstruction of unstable wall sections, repointing of masonry...The aim of your work will be to restore the mill's perimeter walls, in particular by sorting materials and laying a sloping glacis.
This is a high-mountain project, so please read the description carefully before applying. You'll be asked to provide a letter of introduction to the project before you can register!

The commune and valley of Freissinières is located in the Hautes Alpes (05) at the gateway to the Ecrins National Park, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The Viollins mill site is located downstream from the commune in the direction of Freissinières. It lies on the banks of the Biaysse torrent.
In winter and summer alike, the well-sheltered valley offers a wide variety of activities: discovering the region and its specialities, hiking, nature sports, meeting local people and intercultural exchanges...

Meeting Point and Time: The rendezvous is set for late afternoon at 6pm on 10/07/2025 at L' Argentière-la-Bessée station. There are several connecting trains from Paris to the meeting point. The last day (07/31) is devoted to departure, usually in the morning.

You'll be staying in the cabin's outdoor area, in a large, shady spot where tents
tents will be pitched (and supplied by CONCORDIA). The commune also provides a village hall with WC access and a covered kitchen. No WIFI available, but telephone reception.
Meals will be prepared either in an outdoor kitchen or under the small covered facility. You will share the various collective tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the animators, and you will participate in the shopping and preparation of meals, giving priority to healthy, vegetarian, local products.

Help restore a hut at the heart of the “hunters' site” in the south of France!
The commune of Puy-Sanière would like to restore the “hunters' hut”, a structure located overlooking the Lac de Serre-Ponçon, and through which many hikers pass. Once used as a base for hunters, this structure is part of the commune's rural heritage and could also become a shelter for walkers.
You'll be taking part in the restoration of the hut's enclosure during a 3-week international work camp. You'll work on cleaning up the site, deconstructing it before starting to build, and finally constructing a low wall. At the end of your work, the walls will extend over 24 linear meters, allowing the hut to become a used shelter again!
This is a high-mountain project, so you'll need to read the description carefully before signing up. You'll be asked to provide a letter of introduction to the project before you can register!
Together with the Parc des Ecrins, Concordia has decided to set up a project in the Puy-Sanières mountain area. This Concordia project is part of an overall project by the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur delegation to work in the transalpine and Franco-Italian zones. Our aim is to highlight the need to restore dry-stone huts for workcamps.
Puy-Sanières is a commune in southern France, located on the southern flank of Mont Guillaume (2,552 m), at the southernmost tip of the Écrins massif. It lies in the Hautes-Alpes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, near the Serre-Ponçon lake.
The site of the “hunters' hut” is located a few kilometers from the center of the village of Puy-Sanières, on land mainly devoted to pastoralism and soft tourism activities.
The site will be punctuated by leisure activities, such as discovering the region and its specialities, hiking and other sporting activities, as well as opportunities to meet the local population.
You'll be accommodated outside the hut, in a large shady area where tents (supplied by CONCORDIA) will be pitched to provide shelter from the elements. A party room is also available, with access to WCs and a covered kitchen. Telephone reception, but no WIFI.
Meals are prepared either in an outdoor kitchen or in the covered kitchen. You'll share the various collective tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the animators and you will participate in the shopping and preparation of meals, giving priority to healthy and local products.

Standing at an altitude of 1000 metres, this former Alpine ski resort offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Just thirty minutes from Chambery and less than an hour from Annecy, it s an ideal destination for lovers of nature, tranquillity and mountain walks. It s an unspoilt place where you can disconnect from the world... and take a deep breath of fresh air. A playground for lovers of outdoor activities and wild escapes.
Description of work:
The commune of Aillon-le-Jeune offers a discreet but remarkable heritage, including the Chapelle de la Correrie and a cemetery cross dating back to the 13th century. Unfortunately, this precious heritage today suffers from a lack of emphasis: the surrounding wall that protects them is in ruins. Your mission: to bring it back to life and preserve this place full of history To do this, you ll work five hours a day, every morning from Monday to Friday. The afternoons will be devoted to group activities.The work to be carried outThe wall extends over 65 metres, but the work will concentrate on the first 15 metres, which are the most fragile and pose a direct threat to neighbouring tombs. Supervised by specialists - including a former wall-climber - you will learn step-by-step the traditional techniques of dry stone masonry. From dismantling the wall to selecting the stones and levelling the ground, each step will immerse you in the rigour and beauty of this age-old technique. Apart from work, there s plenty of time for relaxation, discovery and group life Here s an overview of what s in store for you during your stay Hikes and walks in the magnificent landscapes of the Bauges massif. Immerse yourself in the heart of nature, between forests, ridges and secret trails: a chance to observe the local wildlife and take a deep breath. Access to the municipal swimming pool to cool off and have fun among volunteers. There s also the chance to explore the surrounding rivers, for a swim...or just to discover nature Visit educational farms, meet local producers and discover Savoyard specialities (cheese is king here). Visit the surrounding towns: Chambery and especially Annecy, renowned for their cultural heritage, charming little streets, markets, lakes and summer atmosphere. You can also visit Aix-les-Bains and Lake Bourget for a relaxing break between town and nature. Large group games, tournaments, creative or sporting activities (volleyball, badminton, football, etc.), evening entertainment and festive evenings. Meetings with local people, including a friendly welcome drink or an international meal prepared by the volunteers. For the duration of the project, you will be staying in tents at the Aillon campsite, in the heart of an exceptional natural environment. The camping site is fitted with solid sanitary facilities and showers, for basic comfort but welcome after a day of work and activities; A convivial dining area will be set up to share meals, prepared with care by the volunteers, in a warm and collective atmosphere. For 50 years, the National Association of Cultures du Monde (ANCM) has been dedicated to promoting and raising awareness of intangible cultural heritage. Each year, it organizes the World Cultures Festival in Gannat to celebrate the diversity of cultures and living heritage on both a national and international scale.
Come volunteer with others to share the cultures of the world with as many people as possible! The festival is a unique place to meet hundreds of folkloric dancers and singers from around the world. This year, the festival will take place from July 22 to 27, 2025. The artists will present their dance and music through workshops, concerts, cabarets, and parades.
Working with other volunteers, you'll discover the behind-the-scenes of a festival and actively contribute to its success! Before the festival, you'll help with creating decorations and setting up the event. During the festival, the tasks will vary: welcoming the public, accommodating the artists, managing the bars, running a crepe stand, and leading creative workshops. After the festival, you'll participate in dismantling the equipment. The atmosphere is always warm, and it’s a great opportunity to meet wonderful people! You’ll also have free time to explore Gannat, its natural landscapes, and the surrounding area.
The project takes place in Gannat, in the Allier department, between Clermont-Ferrand and Moulins. For the 51st year, the city is hosting the Cultures du Monde festival, an unmissable cultural event in the region! Volunteers will have the opportunity to explore the town and its surroundings, which boast a rich medieval heritage.

Volunteers will be accommodated in tents, on a dedicated green area of the municipal stadium. Each volunteer will have their own tent, and they will have access to a building with all amenities. Outdoor spaces will be available for resting, socialising, and shared meals.
Beyond the working hours, volunteers come together to organise daily life on the camp. Often divided into teams, they plan menus, help with the shopping, prepare meals, and ensure the cleanliness of shared spaces.
Fully involved in shaping your experience, you will also take part in decision-making regarding group activities and daily organization!
