    Description of the partner organizing/hosting the project:

    Focused on promoting cultural exchange, social inclusion and community development, the association organizes initiatives that combine environmental sustainability, artistic expression and civic engagement. With a strong commitment to international cooperation, Dream Dancing connects young people from diverse backgrounds to promote learning, collaboration and a shared sense of responsibility.

    Description of work:

    The main tasks to be carried out by volunteers include:1. Cleaning Public Spaces: Collection and removal of litter from streets, squares, parks, and gardens; Washing and cleaning public monuments and walls; Removing graffiti and unwanted markings from public and historical spaces. 2. Restoration of Historical Buildings: Cleaning facades of historical buildings; Painting walls, fences, and other exterior elements of historical structures; Performing minor repairs to preserve and restore the architectural integrity of historical landmarks. 3. Improvement of Recreational Areas: Repairing and repainting urban furniture, such as benches, tables, and playground equipment; Installing or replacing small fixtures, such as trash bins and signage;

    Description of location and leisure:

    The camp is located in Salvaterra de Magos, a picturesque town in central Portugal. This area is predominantly rural, surrounded by lush landscapes, agricultural fields, and the scenic Tagus River. Despite its tranquil setting, the town is well-connected to larger urban centers, offering a blend of natural beauty and accessibility.

    Description of accommodation and food:

    Volunteers will be housed in a local community center or hostel, offering shared dormitory-style rooms. The facility is clean, safe, and equipped with essential amenities.Hygiene Facilities:Shared bathrooms with hot water showers and toilets will be available. Separate facilities will be designated for male and female participants.Meals:Participants will receive three meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), prepared with fresh, local ingredients. The menu will include a variety of Portuguese and international dishes, with vegetarian and dietary options available upon request.

    ● 주요내용

    Description of the partner organizing/hosting the project:

    The work camp has the general objective of bringing together young people from different nationalities, cultures and contexts with the common objective of contributing to the increase of biodiversity, to the restoration of degraded ecosystems and the increase of the landscape s fire resilience. The conservation works will take place in areas managed by MONTIS in the interior of Portugal, in Pampilhosa da Serra. The areas where the tasks will be carried out, are ecologically degraded and sensitive areas.     Description of work:

    The volunteering tasks will all be directed or related to ecosystem restoration. The activities include pruning young trees and pruning and management of pine trees and other native species, to accelerate their growth (with pruning shears and other cutting tools); opening and maintenance of access paths for volunteers and visitors; restore riparian vegetation; construction of barriers to water runoff with local materials, to increase infiltration and improve the soil; control of invasive plant species, namely the Acacia dealbata,(control is carried out by pulling small trees and ring barking medium and large trees, using a pocketknife for Acacia sp. and pulling the roots to the others); camera trapping: consists of installing and collecting photo trapping cameras that react to movement,

    Description of location and leisure:

    Pampilhosa da Serra - The location of the workcamp is in a remote rural area, with almost no population. Volunteers will camp in Xisto Camping (https://xistocamping.com/portal/; coordinates: 40I( 02 48.6 N 7I( 48 05.8 W). MONTIS will have cars available to support the needed transportation. The intervention area distances from the campsite about 20 minutes driving.

    Description of accommodation and food:

    Volunteers will be camping. There is a central facility with showers, and WC for women and men, with all basic hygiene facilities. There is another central facility for socializing, for board and card games, and a small bar. The camping site has internet available, as well as outdoors barbecue and eating tables. There is no kitchen or laundry. The camping site is next to a fluvial beach.MONTIS will provide regular meals, with the possibility of vegetarian by request. These include breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. Lunch will be served on the field as packed lunch if needed

    Description of specific requirements: Volunteers should bring their own sleeping bags, comfortable clothes and footwear suitable for mountain and nature working, several changes of clothes (there is no laundry), personal hygiene items, flip flops for bathing, reusable water bottle, towel, sunscreen and working hat (sun and heat are expected), leisure items (bathing suit, towel, book, games, etc) and a traditional food or drink

    Short remarks for the project:
    From Porto Airport: Travel by Metro, 45 minutes total trip time. Metro leaves from the airport every 30 minutes. From Lisbon Airport: 1. Take the metro (red line) at the airport - it s the only metro line; 2. You have to change lines, at the end of the red line ( in S. SebastiEpoundo - To the blue line towards the Zoo; 3. It s only 2 stops, when you get to the zoo stop, you leave and follow the signs to the bus station.Travel from Porto (Rede Expressos ( Terminal Intermodal da CampanhEpound, R. de BonjEia 691 4300, 4300-084 Porto) to Pampilhosa da Serra Travel from Lisboa (Rede Expressos ( Terminal de Sete Rios, PraEa Marechal Humberto Delgado, 1500-423 Lisboa) to Pampilhosa da Serra (R.
