Since October 2015, Léo Lagrange Center East is involved in the reception of refugees on the site of Saint-Beauzire in Haute Loire. The missions of Léo Lagrange Center East are to welcome, guide and accompany people in their efforts to access rights. The center of asylum-seekers wishes to offer a space of conviviality to the people welcomed to stop for a moment in a difficult daily life. Working with a team of volunteers supports this by offering French language courses and various workshops related to local associations: sport, discovery of the Territory, coffee / discussion, cooking .... It also makes it possible to meet professionals for individualized social monitoring, in a relationship of trust and support in accessing social rights, access to health coverage and support in integration procedures. The center of asylum-seekers administratively houses people without accommodation, which allows them to receive mail, maintain regular links with various organizations and have easier access to rights. http://caollce-saintbeauzire.org/presentation/ To reinforce this spirit of interculturality, the center wishes to organize a volunteer project in 2018 with various small restoration projects to reinvest the places: restoration of a health trail, cleaning up a golf course mini-golf or even a collective fresco are on the program. You will work in small groups together with migrants from the center. In the afternoons, you can share convivial moments by taking par.

WORK: Your mission during the workcamp will be to reinvest places of the center not used by the migrants, who have nevertheless of the potential. The center indeed has a fitness trail, a mini-golf or still huts for children who need to be cleaned and emphasized. You will thus make small works as clearing, sanding a,d painting. At the end of the stay, you will realize a fresco on the wall of a tennis court. You will work in youngs group with migrants.

You will participate in the works with the other international volunteers and a technical managerial employee will teach you the specific techniques. The works take place in the morning, for 5 hours maximum. The afternoons and the weekends are reserved for the activities.

Brioude
- The center of asylum-seekers is situated in saint Beauzire in Haute-Loire. Situated a few kilometers away from Brioude, you can visit one of the most beautiful basilicas of the region or still bathe you in fresh waters of the river. Http://www.ot-brioude.fr/
You can also share friendly moments with the migrants by participating in activities proposed by the center (sport, swimming pool, workshop music, movie club …) or by visiting the region with volunteers of the association.

TERMINAL: Brioude

You will stay at a campsite near the center Tents and mattresses will be provided, please bring a sleeping bag. You’ll have on-site access to all the facilities (toilets, showers ...)..
You will take your meals with the people in a canteen where a cook prepares the meals. You can occasionally help with the preparation of meals if you request it.
