Description of the partner organizing/hosting the project:
The local Legambiente Valle Camonica chapter has been active since the 1980s and has already organized several international workcamps. It promotes initiatives on various issues, such as the protection of rivers, land use management, landscape conservation, and environmental care. Over the past three years, it has carried out numerous educational projects on environmental sustainability, both in primary and secondary schools.
Description of work:
The core activity involves observing and capturing, during the hikes, the landscapes, natural features, human traces, and cultural elements, along with the emotions and sensations they inspire. Participants will translate these experiences into written reflections and photographic or video documentation, which will then be woven together into a summary that will serve as a source of inspiration for territorial animation projects.
At three different alpine pastures, participants will have the opportunity to engage with the work of local shepherds, assisting with livestock care, cheesemaking, and the functioning of the facility (e.g., firewood collection). Maintenance work on structures or trails may also be planned.

Description of specific requirements: As the field camp is part of a broader project linked to the Alpine context, participants must come exclusively from countries within the Alpine arc (France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Italy). Given that the activities involve itinerant mountain routes between 1,500 and 2,000 meters above sea level, participants are required to have a level of physical fitness that allows them to walk for several hours on mountain trails, with average daily elevation gains of around 500–600 meters. They must also be equipped with mountain backpack and appropriate clothing, including hiking waterproof boots, a waterproof jacket, and warm garments and al least a complete change of clothes including shoes. They will also need to bring a warm sleeping bag, fitted sheet ( 90 cm) and a pillow case.
