Zhong-Xing Community Development Association is known for its caring for the elderly and people with intellectual & developmental disabilities in Daliao. Our goal is to make people living in this community could help and support one another like a big and warm family.
Recent years, we have tried to develop different ways in order to show the elders’ potentials and wisdom (like publishing their life-story books). With the community’s multi-culture (residents included people from Mainland China and Taiwanese), Zhong-Xing found out unique scenic attractions (like Feng-Huang hill, etc.). Also, we invented tasty food with adzuki bean (one of local crop), such as sticky rice with adzuki bean sausage, adzuki bean with pearl barley soup.
During the 7 days, we will lead you to experience how we live and what we do in this big family. The best part is that you would have a special trip and unforgettable experience, to interact and learn with local elders, and help with elderly caring (such as accompanying elders to and fro their houses and supermarket).
If you are interested in experiencing the elders’ wisdom, Zhong-Xing work-camp is your best choice.

Aims:
1) We could let more and more people know how to find the way and start dedicating themselves to care and help where they live in.
2) After the work-camp, Participants would have different perspectives about "Elders" and “Community Works".
3) Sharing and introducing our features to outsiders, and make people interested in participating activities in our community during and after work-camp.

Main Work:
1) Learning our skills to make the tasty food with adzuki bean by yourselves.
2) Participating in local agricultural activities.
3) Visiting local elders and accompany them, such as together making life-journey story books, going shopping with them.

Transportation:
1) Taoyuan International Airport. And take Taiwan High Speed Rail from Taoyuan Station to Zuoying Station (About 1.5~2 hours, NT$1,330), then transfer to take KRTC(MRT) from Zuoying Station(R16), get off at Daliao Station(OT1) (About 45 minutes, NT$50) and walk about 10 minutes to our community activity center.
2) Kaohsiung International Airport. And take KRTC(MRT) from Kaohsiung International Airport(R4), get off at Daliao Station(OT1) (About 45 minutes, NT$55) and walk about 10 minutes to our community activity center.

The center is equipped with bathroom facilities, kitchen utensils, working days or free day meals can be self-cooking fire (food can be near to the Market procurement).

1) We need participants who have the patience, caring others and be happy to communicate with each other.
2) Please prepare a personal performance program for international nights, and cook one dish of your national cuisine. If you might use a musical instrument or a special local seasoning, please bring it on your own.
