NEW INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTARY WORKCAMP AT A GREEK TRADITIONAL
CARNIVAL ART/ENVI/CULT
When
28th February – 11th March.
12 unforgettable days full of fun and creativity!
Where
At Polygyros, capital of Chalkidike, 3 hours from Thessaloniki
Why
To give ecological and multicultural character to the traditional carnival of Polygyros,
that is being organized since the beginning of the 20th century.
Exhibitions, performances, concerts, dances and a spectactural parade with floats and costumes:
a city in crazy mood for 7 days, from dawn till… dawn
Who
Twenty volunteers (10 from all over the world and 10 from Greece),
with artistic soul and mood for fun and creation.
What
Construction of a float with ecological theme, with natural, recycled material etc,
creation of masks and costumes and participation in the carnival parade.
Supported by the EPIPN program of the Greek General
Secretary of Youth and by the Polygyros Municipality.
