활동할 수 있는 프로그램입니다.

MILAZZO (Messina, Sicily)


Milazzo is a large village on the northern-eastern coast of Sicily, in a beautiful landscape.
The local group of Legambiente is working since years for the implementation and discovery
of ancient excursion paths and environmental protection activities. In addition to other
solidarity initiatives, during summer time, the groups uses to host children and young people
from Chernobyl area, for short holiday periods.


LEG-MTV-02 - Milazzo,
1st July - 31st August (2 months).
2 volunteers, only female.


Lodging: first months together with the children in a nuns' centre, second months in a
school.
Tasks: the first month volunteers will help in the running of the summer scheme for
Chernobyl's children (playschemes, excursions, educational activities). During the second
month, environment protection, help and support to 2 international workcamps.






CAMPSIRAGO (Lecco, Milan region)


Campsirago is a fascinating ancient village in a wonderful nature, which has been
abandoned for year and now is again peopled by some families and Legambiente has
one of its education environment centre.


LEG-LTV-03 - Campsirago,
1st May - 31st July 2003 (3 months).
3 volunteers, boys and girls.


Lodging: in the Legambiente centre. Tasks: help and support for the educational activities
with children and to international workcamps.






VERONA


Verona is a very famous city (do you remember Romeo & Juliet by Shakespeare???) in the
North East of Italy; it is a very touristic place with a long history and culture; rich of historical
monuments, first of all the famous Arena (the ancient Roman Theatre). Even it is a great
example of fortified town, in fact the walls and the surrounding area is going to become a
Park.
Unfortunately some part of the area is still damaged and abandoned. Legambiente is deeply
involved in the restoration and revaluation of a great green space around. The final goal is to
restore a part for the park between four bastions of the XIX cent. and remains of walls of
'XVI cent.
So 4 short term volunteers will work in different activities: custody of the Park (opening and
closing the gates), gardening, cleaning. Even they will collaborate with the local group of
Legambiente in other activities as guiding tourists through the park and other Legambiente
project. They will work about 30 hours per week.


LEG-MTV-04 - Verona,
1st April - 31st October 2003 (1 month minimum staying. Priority to volunteers interested in
staying the whole period).
4 volunteers, boys and girls.


Lodging: house inside the Park "Raggio di Sole", very close to the centre of the town (two
bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, bigger room for meeting with all volunteers).
Conditions: food and accommodation free. No pocket-money. Volunteers must speak
English and those with knowledge of a Latin language (French, Spanish, Portuguese or
Italian) are more than welcome.






CUTROFIANO (Lecce, southern Italy)


The local group of Legambiente organises many international workcamps during the
summertime.
A co-camp-leader is more than welcome for helping in some of the camps, all of them on
environmental issues.
Cutrofiano is a village at 30 km from Lecce, on the Adriatic coast deep in Southern Italy. The
camps take place in different location of the region.


LEG-MTV-05 - Cutrofiano Salento,
1st May - 31st August 2003 (staying compulsory for the whole period).
1 volunteer, boy or girl.


Lodging: when outside the camp, in a shared room in a house in Cutrofiano. When on the
camps, accommodation shared with the other international volunteers.
Conditions: food and accommodation free. No pocket-money. Volunteer must speak English.
Volunteer will take part in an intensive Italian language course from 5th to 13th May
(free of charge). Previous work camp experience is necessary.
